Rana Abdelhamid

Rana Abdelhamid is a community organizer and martial artist from Queens, NY. Abdelhamid holds a black belt in Shotokan karate and has over 8 years of experience teaching self-defense globally. Abdelhamid is also the youngest member of the Amnesty International USA Board of Directors. Rana is a recipient of the UNAUSA Leo Nevas Human Rights Youth Award, is a Truman Scholar and the 2015 Running Start Rising Political Star.

Bushra Hamid

From Houston, Texas, Bushra Hamid is the cofounder of the WISE National Muslim Women's Summit and a current student at Harvard College, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Bushra is currently interning on the business development team of TEMBO education, a Forbes 30 under 30 social enterprise company dedicated to improving the lives of children and parents alike. She has also been politically engaged in her community, serving on campaigns specifically in her local city and acting as a journalist liaison for the Harvard Institute of Politics. She loves all things activism, writing, and poetry!

Dean Hathout

Dean Hathout is a freshman at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics and Economics, and is a member of the Harvard Islamic Society. He has worked with many Muslim and interfaith activist organizations in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, including the Muslim Public Affairs Council and Muslims and Jews Inspiring Change. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing basketball and squash, and reading.

Zainab Kahloon

Zainab Kahloon is currently a freshman at Harvard College concentrating in Social Studies. Prior to joining WISE, she worked for the Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA), where she served as a regional chair and eventually the national executive Program and Speakers Chair. As Director of External Relations for WISE's National Muslim Women Summit, Zainab works with administration and panelists to ensure that the summit is running smoothly in terms of logistics and funding and that panelists are placed in sessions that tailor to their strengths. In her spare time, Zainab enjoys doing yoga, baking, reading, and spending time with her friends.
